1. Regulatory scope

Travel Sathi operates as a fixed-route, recurring office commute subscription platform in India. The platform's intended geographic scope is Delhi NCR at launch, with phased expansion subject to applicable law and the platform's regulatory position in each new region.

Operating the platform involves a layered set of regulatory considerations, including but not limited to:

• The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989;
• State-specific transport rules (Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan) applicable to private-vehicle commute operations;
• Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011;
• Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020;
• GST law (CGST / SGST / IGST) and income-tax provisions;
• Indian Contract Act, 1872 (for these Terms and the Provider Agreement).

2. Current status explained

The status shown at the top of this page is admin-controlled and updated by the Travel Sathi operations team whenever the regulatory position materially changes. The platform distinguishes between the following states (see the banner above for the current state):

• Under Regulatory Review — pre-engagement with the relevant authority.
• Classification Request Submitted — written request for classification filed; awaiting response.
• Licence Application Submitted — formal licence application filed with the competent authority.
• Licence Granted — a licence has been issued; operations are subject to its terms and validity period.
• Additional Approval Pending — primary licence granted but a follow-up approval (e.g. NCR branch registration, security deposit confirmation) is pending.
• Temporarily Not Operating — operations paused (voluntary or directed). No new bookings will be accepted.

3. Distinguishing four things

This page is structured to keep four things separate so that we never misrepresent the platform's position:

1. Legal requirement — what Indian law or a transport authority actually requires.
2. Platform policy — internal rules we choose to apply (e.g. document expiry reminders).
3. Current application status — what we have filed for or obtained.
4. Pending regulatory clarification — items where we are awaiting a decision.

4. Delhi NCR reference framework

The platform's intended launch region is Delhi NCR. The principal regulatory reference relevant to aggregator-based passenger-transport services is:

• The Delhi Motor Vehicle Aggregator and Delivery Service Provider Scheme, 2023 — the licensing framework issued by the Transport Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, applicable to aggregators providing passenger transport services in Delhi.
• Form 1 — the application form prescribed under the Scheme, capturing applicant details, NCR branch coverage, Compliance Officer, website/contact details, Command & Control Centre and security-deposit information.

5. What we do not claim

Unless the public status banner at the top of this page shows "Licence Granted" with a reference number and approval date supplied by the competent authority, the platform does not represent itself as:

• "Government approved", "Government certified" or "Transport Department approved";
• "Licensed aggregator" or "Licensed transport operator";
• Holder of any specific licence number, security deposit, or compliance certificate.

Any such representation elsewhere on the site, in marketing material or in third-party listings is unintentional and should be reported to grievance@travelsathi.online for correction.

6. How this page is updated

The status and reference numbers shown at the top of this page are retrieved from the platform's platform_regulatory_status table. Only authorised administrators can modify them. Each modification is recorded in the platform's audit log with the actor's user ID, IP address and timestamp. Internal administrative notes are never publicly exposed.
